Fairy’s Delaque Gang
For July Fairy set himself an easy challenge. Finish the Delaque Necromunda gang he didn’t finish in June. Along the way, we also threw in a little challenge to paint a Primaris. As we reach the end of the month though Fairy has come through with a completed gang. So, today we take a look at Fairy’s Delaque gang.
Last month Fairy started his Delaque gang and managed to get a reasonable amount of painting done. This month in between working on his Primaris Marine and starting his new Tzeentch army he has finished the gang.
Fairy utilised the airbrush and has gone for a style that many have commented looks very much like the Joker and his gang. It seems Fairy is leaning into that. He is thinking of a gang name along the lines of, “The Gypsy’s Jokers”. With all gangers named after a type of smile such as The shit-eating grin, The sly smirk, The repugnant smile. We think they are fitting names for these Delaque.
A nice rusted effect on the base edges instead of the standard single colour trim is also a standout on these models. Fairy decided against the standard single colour base trim because of the different heights along the edge of the detailed bases. It’s definitely a look we think others may use. Sparky has already said he intends to steal it.
Are They Any Good?
Who knows if Fairy’s Delaque gang are any good, they haven’t played a single game yet. In fact, none of us have had a chance to get into Necromunda yet. This was one of those cases where Fairy had the models and just wanted to paint them. I’m sure at some point in the near future he will get a game of Necromunda in though.
In the meantime these guys are being stored safely on the shelf and Fairy has already moved on to his next project. August will no doubt be all about the new Tzeentch army for Fairy. We will check-in at the start of August with him to see what he plans to get through. If you can’t wait though remember to follow on Instagram or Facebook for some sneak peeks.
