Warlords, Reavers & Warhounds
The Titan Legio is growing as Fairy adds two Reavers, two Warhounds, and another two Warlords to his force. With The Warbringer Nemesis complete, Fairy has moved on to more of his force. He’s really taken advantage of his week off work dedicating some solid time to hobby each day. To speed things up he’s also broken out the airbrush.
Fairy has been utilising a few different techniques, along with his airbrush, to help speed the painting process along. He is keeping weapon arms separate and utilising magnets. This will allow him to change up the weapon configurations between games. It also enables him to paint the weapons and bodies separately with his airbrush and capture more details. With such large models, he has been able to do the majority of his flat panel and armour work with his airbrush. He is also spraying a lot of these parts on the sprue to get the undercoat and basecoat down quickly. It is the gold trim that will kill him.
The Fast Fairy
As you can see from the photo gallery he has made a lot of progress on the construction front with another Warlord, Reavers, and Warhounds already built and even some colour being laid down. Given that he still has some more days off work, completing his force should be no trouble at all for this month. He does have another Warlord Battle Titan to go, which is still in the plastic. So it won’t all be smooth sailing.
It definitely seems like Fairy has the intrinsic motivation to get this finished. He is also less susceptible to distractions. Although he is keen to try and distract the rest of us by throwing out store links to new models that he knows we really don’t need. On an unrelated note, Sparky now has an Aeronautica Imperialis Wings of Vengeance box set on its way.
